I Love Orange

Orange isn't a popular color, is it? It's ok, you can tell me.  I can take it.

Well, orange just so happens to be my favorite color.

I use it in big doses, like on the walls in my awesome bachelorette study....

And in small doses, to add a little zing to button Easter eggs....

I like it on animals....
(Say hello to Amos!)

And on flowers.  Lots of flowers.

On silk tulips....

Or on a real one from my very own yard!

On orange Valentine roses from my husband....

Or on tiny pansy blossoms from hanging baskets on the porch....

I even just noticed that my signature graphic is orange.   :)

What's not to love?

  5. Orange is probably my personal least favorite color, even though it was college's color... (burnt orange at least)... but, I've seen it in so many good rooms lately! I'm starting to like it a lot more. Thanks so much for the comment on my blog today!

  6. I do not like orange as a general rule. However, one of my neighbors has a family room painted in a rather bright burnt orange with lots of white and a few pops of chartreuse, and I have to tell you that it is one of the prettiest rooms I have ever seen. I like the way you have used orange with black and cream. Pretty!

  7. LOL I just saw what Erin wrote.....Roll Tide! That's probably why I don't like orange. I was indoctrinated from a young age, plus I am a U of A alumna.

  8. Hi Kelly,

I see buttons, zinnias, whites, silver, I can tell we're gonna get along just fine!

I'm a fellow sponser in the giveaway and so thrilled to be introduced to your wonderful blog. The Easter egg is very cute, could be a late night here, buttons, glue.....

  9. I love all your oranges. I have seen a trend of orange being used big time as an accent color in home decor lately. I have always liked orange. It is just a happy color!

  11. I think you're probably right that it's not used a lot right now. But embracing what you love is VERY in! I went through my passion for orange for about a hundred years and had deep russet living room walls at one point. I had a tamarisk color on my dining room walls just before the butter color I have now. That wasn't very long ago! Your photos really DO zing!
