Review and Giveaway with Jonathan's Spoons!

I'm absolutely of the belief that cooking should be a fun experience, not a chore.  One way I make this possible is to try to use the best products and tools possible in the process of cooking.

This is why I'm extremely excited about today's review and giveaway.  Jonathan's Spoons, out of Kempton, Pennsylvania, combines the elements I love in a product:  functionality and beauty.  Not only that, but their products are handcrafted and made in the U.S.  Beautiful, functional, handmade, and home-grown.  What a dream!

Coffee Scoop

With a love of creating and a lifetime of inspiration, Jonathan began his spoon operation in 1979.  The spoons have transformed through the years, expanded, and become the full-untensil line of today.   Read the entire inspiring story here.

According to Jonathan, "My utensils have a unique sense of balance and warmth because they are designed with the hand and purpose in mind."  His shop employs ten workers who supply all the hand-crafted spoons for his operation.  He and his wife Julia exhibit their spoons at craft shows around the country.

Jonathan's Spoons offers many fun collections.  I love the unique elegance of the Flame Blackened Collection....

And the fun, casual style of the these spiral utensils.

But, the Cat Tail Collection is absolutely my favorite.

Perhaps what Jonathan's Spoons is most famous for is their lazy spoons.  The notched side alows you to rest the spoon directly on the pot or pan to cut down on messes.

For this review, I received one of these fantastic lazy spoons.

The fire-burned edges make them beautifully unique.

This 12-inch spoon is smooth, sturdy, and lightweight--not to mention pretty in my countertop untensil holder.
