Burlap Fleur de Lys Pillow

I recently foraged ahead with my no-sew agenda and made a burlap Fleur de Lys pillow.

Stitch witchery is fast replacing Mod Podge as my best crafting friend!

I took some needs a LOT of ironing.

Acrylic paint and a stamp....couldn't be easier!

I used the adhesive to "sew" three of the four sides, leaving one end open.

Yes....I stuffed this with toilet paper.

Ironing the last side as a little difficult since you're trying to hold it closed and keep the seem straight and not catch the toilet paper on fire with iron.

  12. The toilet paper idea is great. I almost used it yesterday but ended up using yarn I had that I am never going to use. But you were definitely my inspiration for unusual stuffing.

  13. Kelly I love your pillow! I love working with burlap, but it does require a lot of ironing! That was such a great idea to stuff it with t.p.!!!
