Burlap Fleur de Lys Pillow

I recently foraged ahead with my no-sew agenda and made a burlap Fleur de Lys pillow.

Stitch witchery is fast replacing Mod Podge as my best crafting friend!

I took some burlap....it needs a LOT of ironing.

Acrylic paint and a stamp....couldn't be easier!

I used the adhesive to "sew" three of the four sides, leaving one end open.

Yes....I stuffed this with toilet paper.

Ironing the last side as a little difficult since you're trying to hold it closed and keep the seem straight and not catch the toilet paper on fire with iron.

Voila!

  10. Super cute!! As a non-sewer myself, I love that you didn't sew this! And I had to laugh about trying not to catch the toilet paper on fire. :)

  11. The toilet paper idea is great. I almost used it yesterday but ended up using yarn I had that I am never going to use. But you were definitely my inspiration for unusual stuffing.
