Raising Support for Walgreens Pharmacy

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Medicine is expensive these days, so healthcare coverage is a must.  Sometimes, though, it's a hassle to find in-network providers for your prescriptions.  Express Scripts, Inc., which manages Tri-care, the military's healthcare provider, has partnered with Walgreens in the past so that Walgreens pharmacies are in-network, making it extremely convenient to find a reliable pharmacy nearby.  After all, Walgreens in the largest drugstore chain in America!

Unfortunately, Express Scripts is no longer willing to partner with Walgreens, which will disrupt service to thousands, including those in the military. Now, patients who have relied on Walgreens pharmacies for years are being forced to search for other approved prescription drug providers, which causes fear and frustration and potential disruption in medical treatment.   Longtime relationships with trusted pharmacists are being severed.    Click here for further information regarding this former partnership.  Walgreens and Express Scripts

In order to help customers stay with the Walgreens pharmacists they've trusted for years, Walgreens is now offering a Prescription Savings Club to fill in this gap.  A family membership is just $10 a year and covers all members of your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 years old and younger, as well as pets. Individuals can also enroll for $5.  This membership offers you and your family great savings on over 8.000 brand-name prescriptions and all generic prescriptions.  You will also receive savings on nebulizers, diabetic supplies, flu shots, and pet prescriptions.  Do you use Walgreen brand products and Walgreens photo services?  You get bonuses on those too with the Prescription Savings Plan.  Click here for more information.  Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens

In addition to spreading the word and joining the Prescription Savings Club, how else can you support Walgreens in its endeavor to provide uninterrupted service?  You can like them on Facebook and follow them on twitter to stay up to date!  Walgreens on Facebook   Walgreens on Twitter

  1. We have express scripts and have moved ours over to CVS but most of your regular meds we just do through mail order. Do you know why they went different ways?
